JESC: Susan moves the world with "Stronger With You"

Song and music video to be released on 26 September

Erfurt, 25 September 2020 – For the 13-year-old singer Susan the big event is very close. On 26 September 2020 her song and music video will be officially released - Germany's submission to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest on 29 November 2020. KiKA exclusively presents the final version of Levent Geiger's ballad "Stronger With You". The video will be shown for the first time at 12:00 pm on, the KiKA YouTube channel, on and At 2:48 pm, the music video will be broadcasted exclusively on KiKA.


With the official release, the exiting stage of the international competition, which has been held since 2003, begins. 13-year old Susan is the first candidate competing for Germany.


KiKA-Director of Programming Dr. Astrid Plenk: “We have all been waiting for this moment for so long: tomorrow, the video for "Stronger With You" will finally be released on all our channels. This is a big day not just for Susan, but also for us at NDR and ZDF. Of course, just like everywhere else, a lot will be different than originally planned with this year's JESC. But together, we will make the best of it for the contestants and audience all around Europe. We wish Susan the best of luck with her amazing song and fascinating performance."


rbb studio, Brandenburg Gate and "The Gardens of the World"  a trip through Berlin

The music video, which was highly produced by NDR, was filmed in mid-September in Berlin at locations such as the Brandenburg Gate, rbb's studio and "The Gardens of the World" in Marzahn. Susan: "Berlin is my hometown and I love this city. I am so happy, that we can show Europe what our amazing city has to offer." This year's JESC slogan #movetheworld will define the "look and feel" of the production. In the music video Susan – born in Berlin - is supported by four dancers – all friends of hers – and the 17-year old songwriter Levent Geiger.


The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020

The 18th Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be broadcasted on 29 November 2020, 5:00 pm by the Polish station TVP and by NDR live on KiKA, and Due to the coronavirus, this year’s show will not take place with all contestants in front of a live audience in Warsaw. Instead pre-produced show videos and live relays will be shown.


Germany’s contribution to the Junior ESC is a co-production of multiple public television stations. NDR is responsible for the production of the music video, the performance videos and for broadcasting the live show. On “KiKA LIVE” KiKA regularly reports on all important stations up to the show and is broadcasting the competition. The song is a contribution of ZDF and was written by “Your Song” finalist Levent Geiger. With “Your Song for Warsaw”, ZDF is also documenting the creative process of song writing and portraying the performer.
